The Ministry of Defence says it has received an anonymous letter demanding information on Orica's fate, which was issued to the Ministry of Defence on Friday.

The letter asks for a detailed report to be delivered to defence ministry chief of staff and Minister for Foreign Affairs Mary Ng.

It also asks for documents showing what action was taken to resolve the dispute between the Ministry of Defence and the defence ministry and whether the Ministry of Defence has paid the Defence Department of around $4 million.

The letter has also asked the ministry to provide a status report as to the outcome of an investigation into the orica case and the actions of the Ministry of Defence in the interim.

It also asks for information on the costs of Orica's upkeep and any steps taken to make it better.

On March 1, the Ministry of Defence confirmed it had made an offer to purchase the submarine in return for a large lump sum payment of $15.3 million.

Under the deal, orica would then be taken off the order for up to 18 months and the company would also have to invest a substantial amount of money to replace the submarine's engine and navigation equipment.

In exchange for the money, orica's future would be assured, and Orica would be given a choice if it wanted to leave and pursue a competitive tender with the Singapore Government for a more affordable contract.

But orica, founded in 2002 by Singaporean businessman and naval enthusiast Sunu Boon, filed a defamation lawsuit claiming it had been defamed and had been deliberately defrauded.

In its defence, Orica claimed that the contract had been negotiated in good faith between Singaporean and Malaysian businesses.

The court of arbitration for commercial disputes in the East China Sea had set aside the award issued to it and ordered a new arbitral panel be set up to rule on the matter.

Under the arbitration tribunal, an arbitrator will hear each case separately as the case is registered before the body.

But the court has yet to rule on Orica's motion to lift its award and a decision on whether orica's request to lift the contract from the contract with Singapore was accepted is currently pending.

If Orica wins the arbitral award, it will be banned from entering into any more maritime contracts.

1.03pm: A complaint has been lodged with the Central Board of Secondary Education about the alleged sexual harassment, abuse and assault against a Class 7 student in Hargobind. The complaint says the girl's parents also lodged a complaint. This is after an FIR filed in connection with a similar incident reported from February, but there are conflicting accounts of what was said in that case. Both parents of the girl say she was raped by her classmates in a private room. It is alleged in the complaint that the girl had said she would commit suicide but after they did, she was kept by friends in the room. A girl's brother reportedly said the girl's parents are trying to bully her but they have no proof of their claims.

12.56pm: An incident in a private room has been reported on February 4 from Madhya Pradesh and it seems that the girl had gone to her house with a couple of friends after finishing her examinations. The girl's family says there is no proof of any sexual assault of the girl in a private room. The girl's parents had also alleged that the boys were keeping her at a room that was separate from the family's.

12.49pm: The Central Board of Secondary Education had earlier ordered a probe into the matter. The school's secretary has said that after investigations, the matter is yet to be reported to the higher authorities.

12.34pm: The Uttar Pradesh government will investigate the case. The Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said, "In case there's a rape, this will also be investigated. There was talk in a private room and now a child is in trouble for it."

12.25pm: The girl's mother has alleged that the girl had a boyfriend at school, she then arranged to meet him in an apartment but he refused to give her permission. She had then asked him to "give a reason". He apparently said he didn't want a child involved. The girl said it was her "own decision to bring this up". When her mother came to complain, the boyfriend took out a gun and asked the girl to come out. He also kept demanding that she leave the apartment as she didn't want them to take her there," the girl's mother told ANI.

"My thoughts and prayers are with the families and students of this incident. The investigation will take a few hours. If the case is passed by judicial scrutiny, the accused can face trial," Singh said.
