A year on from Qatar 2022, what’s the legacy of a World Cup like no other? блэкспрут The 2022 World Cup final will go down as one of the most exciting, dramatic and memorable matches in the history of the game. It was the scene of Lionel Messi’s greatest moment on a soccer pitch, in which he cemented his legacy as the best player of his generation after finally guiding Argentina to World Cup glory. It was, for many, the perfect, fairytale ending to a tournament which thrilled well over a billion fans around the world. So good, perhaps, that many forgot it bookended the most controversial World Cup in history. https://blacksprutdark.org блэкспрут сайт Rewind to the start of the tournament and the talk was all about matters off the field: from workers’ rights to the treatment of the LGBTQ+ community. Just hours before the opening match, FIFA President Gianni Infantino launched into a near hour-long tirade to hundreds of journalists at a press conference in Doha, where he accused Western critics of hypocrisy and racism. “Reform and change takes time. It took hundreds of years in our countries in Europe. It takes time everywhere, the only way to get results is by engaging ] not by shouting,” said Infantino. At one point, the FIFA president challenged the room of journalists, stressing FIFA will protect the legacy for migrant workers that it set out with the Qatar authorities. “I’ll be back, we’ll be here to check, don’t worry, because you will be gone,” he said. So, a year on from the World Cup final, what is the legacy of the 2022 World Cup? |

USDA commission releases final recommendations to remedy discrimination and inequity across agency kraken onion The US Department of Agriculture’s Equity Commission presented nearly 70 recommendations Thursday that the agency hopes will “further advance equity at USDA” and help resolve longstanding discriminatory practices, according to a copy of the report obtained by CNN. The commission said the changes outlined in its final report “seek to interrupt the perpetuation of any and all USDA discriminatory and unfair systems, operations, policies and actions.” https://kraken10web.com kraken зеркало It is one of several actions the USDA has taken in recent years to remedy discrimination throughout the agency, including making debt relief available to thousands of farmers whose operations are financially struggling. They have also accepted applications for up to $500,000 in financial relief for farmers who have faced discrimination through its lending programs. Included in the final report are 66 recommendations, such as: Creating “a clear and accessible pathway to citizenship for those so essential to American agriculture.” The report also recommends the USDA take steps to ensure fair labor practices and protections for food system farmworkers. Diversifying county committees – powerful boards made up of elected local farmers who, according to the commission, have not historically “represented their minority farmers and ranchers.” Making changes to the Census of Agriculture, a 5-year tally of the farms, ranches and people who operate them across the US. The recommendations proposed broadening the definition of who qualifies as a farmer or rancher in the census to account for different types of farming, including subsistence farming and agricultural practices in Native American communities. The commission said the Native farming community believes Census of Agriculture data does not fully reflect the number of Native farmers and could mislead the agency into thinking the community is smaller than it actually is, thus causing them to become ineligible for certain programs. Supporting legislation to hold USDA leadership accountable to create lasting programs that will improve equity for all. |
